Upgrading your alternator from externally to internally regulated As part of the wiring upgrades on my car, I’m switching from the old 63amp, externally regulated, alternator to a newer style amp, internally regulated alternator hooked up using the 3-wire setup. If you want to run the new alternator as a 1-wire alternator, which most people really don’t think is a good idea on a street car, then the install is easy. The only problem you may see is that you need to rev the engine higher in order to get the alternator to kick into charging mode.
Many companies, such as Chevy2Only or Mad Electrical, offer an adapter you can plug into your unmodified voltage regulator harness that jumpers the wires on the 4-wire regulator plug to allow the car to run properly without the voltage regulator hooked up. Once this adapter is installed all that’s left for you to do is mount the alternator on the motor and run the charging cable from the alternator to your battery.

You can use a 4 pin box with a 4 pin resistor, but you cannot use a 5 pin box with a 2 pin resistor. Dan Stern also pointed out that you will need a standalone, late-model, spool-type coil, either GM or Mopar, or an MSD Blaster, which fits the stock can-type coil bracket.
Otherwise the coil will have a short life. Pat Conners wrote that wires 2 and 3 should go where 4 and 5 are, and vice versa. We’ll check on this.

There are 2 brushes in the alternator, each one has a field terminal, one is labeled “FLD”, the other is labeled “GND”. The GND brush is grounded with the brush mounting screw. This green wire is connected at the voltage regulator at the “FLD” connection with a screw. The other connection on the voltage regulator is a blue wire with a female plug end.
This is the “IGN” Ignition side. Basically, the Voltage Regulator completes the charging circuit and allows the alternator to charge the system.

I approach a cargo van conversion as a project, where you as the owner have the freedom to decide these placements. Starter The starter is perhaps the easiest of the lot, it will survive quite nicely on a diet of 12 volts. Believe it or not, 6 volt starters are designed to handle a bundle more current than their 12 volt counterparts. However, the solenoid should be replaced with its 12 volt counterpart.
Inside is smaller than most campers the whole thing is the same length as an E class Merc estate. Fold down bed downstairs is a good size though, ditto the pop-up roof. I thnk the rear bench can actually be removed too though never tried it. I did the half arsed version with a med high 2. Apart from that was great 32mpg ish. If your over 6ft then look at high tops.

Our tackle and its physical limitations, our unspoken preferences, and the genteelness of our pastime are ill suited to this environment. Fly Tackle and its limitations The weaknesses of fly tackle are well known. The large diameter fly lines sink at a different rate than the monofilament tippet and heavy fly, and with each element of backing, line, leader, tippet, and fly, strange shapes are introduced between rod tip and hook point that add slack.
Hook sets have to be exaggerated to move all that sunken line into a straight line capable of pushing a large hook through lip gristle. Large open water has its own weather system, and an airless morning is promise of a stiff breeze in the afternoon. Casting physics means even the heaviest leader cannot sustain the weight of the large streamers and bulky poppers, and all casts except those downwind collapse at the transition from fly line to leader.
Big wind resistant poppers work against the caster — as the properties that ensure they float — also guarantees their instability in flight. Big and bulky, guaranteed to puddle leader and prey to every gust of wind — rarely landing much beyond the fly line tip.
